Camp Champions

Traditional camp experience meets modern amenities at Camp Champions. Located conveniently outside Austin in Marble Falls, Camp Champion sits directly on Lake Lyndon B. Johnson. The lakeside beauty of the campus in the Texas Hill Country is emphasized by the world-class facilities geared toward giving children a summer to remember.

Camp Champions looks to build strong kids by teaching life skills through play and camaraderie. Activities of every kind help accomplish both. Water activities take place on the lake, pool, and the Spin Cycle, a must-see super-pool with jets. Campers can expect to go waterskiing, sailing, tubing, kayaking, and more. 

On land, kids can find all of the traditional camp activities, which include team sports, wall climbing, zip lining, riflery, and go-kart racing. Plus, fine arts and performing arts for creative campers. With six activity periods packed into every day, kids can try a little of everything.

Camp Champions offers summer camps in one, two, three, four, or even five weeks in length. Students in kindergarten all the way to 11th grade are welcomed at camp.

Located in Trinity, Texas, on the shore of Lake Livingston is Camp Olympia, an overnight summer camp that’s been around since 1968. There are one, two, and three-week-long camps for kids 6 to 16.

Each camper is given a unique activities schedule which allows them to pursue what interests them most. They can choose activities from a list of six categories. Campers can expect to do things like basketball, sailing, snorkeling, giant swings, ropes courses, yoga, golf, video production, drama, and fishing. 

Camp Olympia emphasizes the spirit of friendly competition with their exclusive Spartan & Athenian Tradition. Campers are divided into two tribes at the beginning of camp and compete in track and swimming, relays, and a marathon throughout their stay. They aim to help kids reach their potential and grow their self-confidence and self-esteem while instilling values like responsibility and independence. 

North Texas Performing Arts Camp

There are many unique camp themes in the state, and the North Texas Performing Arts Camps are a wonderful option for soon-to-be stars 5-18. Camps are hosted all around Northern Texas in the cities of Plano, Fairview, Frisco, and Dallas.

North Texas Performing Arts Camp centers almost entirely around live performance and the theatrical arts. This is a prime chance for all creative kids who want to try out song, dance, and pageantry of theater. No experience is required, just a desire to grow, learn, and most importantly, play.

They feature half-day, full-day, and two-week production schedules. These all-day camps allow kids to rest between sessions and attend as little or as much as they like. The two-week production is an exciting option for experienced campers ready to take place in a full-scale program.

The professional staff has experience in the theater with job experience in Broadway and Hollywood. 

Camp Mystic for Girls

If you’re looking for a Christian-focused camp for girls in Texas Hill Country, check out Camp Mystic for Girls. This all-girls overnight camp is just a stone’s throw from San Antonio, situated along the Guadalupe River.

Camp Mystic encourages spiritual growth and fosters an environment that helps girls bring out the best in themselves and one another. Campers get to choose their activity schedule, and once they have attended a full period, they can switch it up for the next day and choose new activities. They can select from a list that includes aerobics, canoeing, cooking, soccer, lacrosse, drama, yoga, and more. 

There are devotionals at the beginning and end of each day, and Bible studies are available throughout all programs. This provides consistent opportunities for campers to take an active role in their spiritual journey.

Camp Mystic hosts girls of all ages, starting with anyone who has completed 2nd grade in their two and four-week options.

Frontier Camp has been serving families since 1969 with its Christian summer camps. The property sits on Houston County Lake in Grapeland, Texas. This puts the summer camp in a convenient spot right in the middle of Dallas and Houston.

Days are packed full of outdoor activities that kids get to choose from a list that includes riflery, archery, arts and crafts, horseback riding, sports, and wakeboarding. There are several activity periods every day with opportunities for worship and contemplation throughout.

Spiritual enrichment is a priority, with daily Bible explorations and devotions to start and finish each day. This is a duty that the staff of Frontier Camp takes seriously, as it is a function of their ministry. Junior Weeks for campers 7-12 and Teen Weeks for those 13-17 last one-week in length.

Pine Cove provides families with Christian-based camps in locations like Columbus in Central Texas and Tyler in East Texas. Kids from all over can conveniently experience the Pine Cove difference.

There is a truly Christ-centered focus for every camper, and fun is woven into the fabric of the time spent here. Throughout their camp journey, they can also become immersed in their spiritual journey. This includes one-on-one sessions with counselors, Bible studies, and through camp-wide ministry events. Kids won’t have issues finding new friends as they learn all types of new skills and enjoy fun games.

Kidventure provides day camp options for ages three to twelve, which are four days long. Overnight camps are available for kids 8 to 16 and are one week long. Apart from summer camps, they also offer winter and spring break camps. 

Camp La Junta for Boys

Camp La Junta is located in Hunt, Texas, on the South Fork Guadalupe River. This beautiful waterfront property offers a backdrop of forest, hills, and valleys for boys to grow and learn.

At these all-boys camps, they get to choose their activities and are encouraged to try new things throughout their time at camp. All of the activities provided are focused on helping them make the most of their capabilities.

There are over 20 activities to choose from, including traditional camp activities like canoeing, fishing, kayaking, sailing, and sports. For the fledgling cowboy, there is horseback riding, riflery, and trailblazing. There is something for any kind of interest. 

Overnight summer camps are available in two-week and four-week configurations for boys in k-8th grade eighth grade. Camp La Junta has a long history going back almost 90+ years, so generations of campers have come and enjoyed everything the camp has to offer.

Although activities are a mainstay at Camp Fire First Texas, they reinforce a holistic approach to well-being. The summer program provides visitors a chance to develop into a complete person. This meets kids where they are and provides the skills to lead healthy, socially conscious, purposeful lives. Fun and games help integrate the lessons they receive during their stay.

Four-day camps are available for grades 1 through 3. Meanwhile, six-day options are for students in grades 1 through 10th. The camps are open throughout the summer at three locations in the Dallas area.
